The material we are about to study on the growing religion of Islam is of great importance to the North American Christian, whether he is interested in it or not. The fact is, these matters are constantly being thrown in our faces by way of the news media and Hollywood, who seek to define the phenomenon within the very narrow confines of their own agendas and prejudices. For this reason, the Bible-believing Christian should have at least a general working knowledge of the truths that we will bring to light in these articles. After all, the Spirit-led believer who is "walking in the Spirit" (Gal. 5:16) will be guided and led into "all truth" by that same Spirit (John 16:13).
In case you were unaware, the media and the "liberals" (the word means generous and caring---those who hold the title are anything BUT), who are constantly charging Christians with being "prejudicial" and "full of hate," are themselves the biggest group of narrow-minded, prejudiced bigots you ever came into contact with. They believe THEIR WAY is the only way, lump all Bible-believing Christians into the same pile with groups like the psychotic and anti-Biblical Westboro Baptist, and label us all as "hate-filled preachers and purveyors of hate." Furthermore, they will seek to defame and crucify anyone who disagrees with their philosophies and perspectives. This is why we refer to them as "prejudiced." Someone who is "pre-judiced" (from pre-judgment) has made a judgment before he's had a chance to examine the facts at hand. For example, no one in the media knows the difference between a Catholic and a Christian. They don't care to know. They won't examine the facts long enough to find out. So they make a general judgment that we are all "Christians" and leave it at that. That’s prejudice. If you looked at what Catholics believe and what Bible-believers believe and come out calling both groups by the same name, you're "crippled too high for crutches,” and “the lights may be on, but nobody’s home.” This example demonstrates a sloppy, lazy lack of thoroughness and accuracy on the part of modern journalism. In other words, if these bigoted, small-minded hypocrites have no more discernment than THAT, you had better toss their “analysis” and “in-depth reporting” in one of two places: in the dumpster, or in file thirteen---whatever is closest.
We bring this up because, first of all, hypocrites should be called out and named, and their hypocrisy exposed. Secondly, because what you THINK you know about Islam and muslims comes mainly from the productions of this group (the liberals in the news industry and Hollywood). That is, what most people know or think about muslims, they have gotten from watching TV. That being said, we are not even going to comment on what you may or may not think about Islam and muslims. What we will say with all confidence is this: if you have gotten your information from these sources only, you are gravely misinformed. In fact, you are UNINFORMED. Don't trust that bunch of numbskulls to get ANYTHING straight. Like one fellow said, "Have a good day; TURN OFF THE NEWS."
We aren't going to deal with how anyone “thinks” or “feels” about muslims in this series of articles. We are going to deal with facts. We're going to tell you what no one in the “lame-stream” media cares to talk about. Namely, what Islam teaches, what their holy books say, what their prophet was like, and what the Bible has to say about all of it. And we are going to quote from recognized Islamic sources to do it.
Now, we realize that the members of Freedom Baptist Church are probably the only ones who will read this series of studies, but just in case someone else is out there poking around the internet and comes across this, don't you display your brainwashed ignorance by accusing this author or this group of Christians of "hating" muslims, or "inciting violence" toward them. Certain people in this country have a peculiar tendency to turn into raving lunatics when they are presented with facts they don't like. If we state a fact you don't like, what are you going to do about it? Get mad at us? Over simple statement of FACT? Have you lost your mind?! Read the WHOLE series of articles, and you'll find very clearly what we believe our attitude should be toward muslims. Neither this author, this church, nor the word of God will EVER justify, condone, suggest, or imply that ONE HAIR ON THE HEAD OF ANY MUSLIM should be touched because we disagree with them. Don't confuse US with THEM; that's what THEIR book teaches.
Don’t believe it? Here is Mohammed himself speaking in one of Islam’s two holy books, The Hadith (Bukhari, vol. 1, no. 24; translation by Dr. Muhammad Muhsin Khan, Kazi Publications, Lahore, Pakistan, 1979---English translation approved and recommended by all muslim authorities including the heads of Mecca and Medina):
I have been ordered to fight against the people until they testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah, and that Muhammad is Allah’s Prophet, and offer prayers and give obligatory charity, so if they perform all that, then they SAVE THEIR LIVES AND PROPERTY. [Emphasis mine.]
And again, (vol. 4, no. 370):
The Prophet said, “Whoever has KILLED AN ENEMY and has proof of that, will possess his spoils.” [Emphasis mine.]
Before you go making prejudicial statements about the “intolerant” views of Bible-believing Christians, how about taking some time to study the experts on intolerance. There are a couple of their statements to get you started.
Our Book contains the words of our Prophet, who said this: "But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you" (Matt. 5:44). Our Holy Book goes on to say, “…the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds…” (2 Cor. 10:4). We wouldn't THINK of harming anyone simply because we disagree with them. And any so-called “Christian” who does, is DISOBEYING HIS SAVIOUR, and his HOLY BOOK. What we’re doing here is examining the facts that are there for anyone to look at. This is a free country (in SPITE of the news media’s efforts and desires), and anyone has the right to believe any fool thing they want. And the rest of us have the right to disagree with it.
Now, what you are about to read in this series may come as a surprise to you because of how different it is from what you're accustomed to hearing about your muslim neighbors. I'm sure you know some muslims who are nice people. That's not what we are going to discuss. I'm sure you know of some muslims who disagree with what's called "extremism", and "radical" Islam. That’s not what we are going to discuss. What we are going to examine is the documented historical background of Islam, and the TEACHINGS of Islam's two holy books, the Koran and the Hadith, which are approved of and recommended by the top Islamic scholars in Mecca and Medina---the international headquarters of Islam. Our only goal will be to get to the truth; the truth about Islam, and what the Bible-believer’s position should be on the subject.
